Harley update!!!

Bet you lot thought I was gonna mention bikes didn't you?

Well sorry I'm not, just thought id give an update on our little bundle of love :bow:

Harley the pooch is living up to her name nicely........

she's unreliable......
Does'nt do what she's told.........

and so far has eaten 3 pairs of slippers, various socks, the base to our new leather chair (bitch)..... oh and steve's boxer's, unfortunately he was wearing them at the time and nearly had reconstructed surgery to his manhood, curtsy of Harly.......bless her, and she's trying very hard to eat steve's faithful pooch (pepsi) but he's holding his own at the moment and fighting back......

But hopefully all normality should resume soon as she starts doggie obedience class's next week.......

Cant you afford to give it food... It cant live on just slippers & socks alone you know. And Steve's manhood wont feed it for long (according to the rumours...LOL).. :f

Seriously though... Glad to hear she's living up to her name...Just hope bits dont start droppin off her soon...

Feed her more you gotta be joking !!!!!!

She's 14 weeks old this week and has more than doubled in size since we got her........ she eats healthily though.......

raw chicken including bones, eggs raw & whole and in the shells, sardines in tomato sauce, pilchards in tomato sauce, rice pudding, any scraps left over from our dinner, oh and as a treat a kebab at the weekends.....

1st pic she's 8 weeks, 2nd pic now at 14 weeks. she's growing by the minute......

Not anymore, she won't Joe !!!! When we got her (5 weeks ago) she would have gone nicely in the top-box, but she's growing up fast !!! Fully grown, they stand 2 to 3 feet tall and can weigh 55-60 pounds.

They were originally called "The Chinese Fighting Dog" and owners put them into pits to compete to the death. The skin is loose, so if grabbed by another dog while in combat, they can turn their body inside their skin to still allow them to attack.

Until very recently they were officially the worlds rarest breed.

They almost became extinct due to the introduction of the Tibetian Mastiff, which is twice the size of the Shar-Pei, so the poor old Shar-Pei wasn't winning too many pit fights due to the unfair size and weight advantage of the Mastiff !!!!!! :B

After World War Two the Commie regime put a tax on dogs...and that nearly finished the breed off. The Yanks and some breeders in Hong Kong saved it from extinction during the 1960/70's. :beer:

No such luck Joe......had to drive 150 miles to Lincolnshire and pay the breeder a grand for the pleasure of owning a Shar-Pei !!!!! Then there was Kennel Club registration, micro-chipping, two hundred quid in Pets World for a bunch of stuff she needed, another fifty at the vets to register her there, and a load of incidentals that Trace hasn't told me about !!!!!! :}

Hence, another reason for the Pan instead of the Hog !!!!! :B
