I just think that this proves people's misconception of a Gypsy, and referring to travellers/pikey's/didicoits and the likes as Gypsy's.

I agree wholeheartedly with Wolfie. Possessions can be replaced, a child life cannot. It is a matter of degree and if you have ever suffered from Paedophilia I am sure a less than proffessional outlook would happen. I can see where you are coming from but I hope to fook I never get stopped by you for 32 in a 30 and get treated the same way as if I had killed your partner, or raped you son or daughter. That's right, it happens same gender too.

So is the guy inadvertantly caught in a speed camera for the first offence he has ever commited in the same league as a paedo, realistically not.

Isn't stevebrooke a Prison Officer - anyone doing 32 in a 30 in his job is running down the corridoor!

The problem is simple..

How many have direct contact ( knowingly ) to a pervert or whatever ?
Now compare that number to the amount of people who have seen something bad or actually fallen foul of travellers nice ways and there is your answer..

It is not that one type of person is worse than another, merely that so many more peoples lives are affected by the antics of the arseholes in caravans..

Something that helps perpetuate the gypsy association with the travellers is their own behaviour..

Many gypsy people 'run' with the tinkers and travellers.. therefore no matter how much they may protest the differences, if the behaviour and manner of one group is identical to another, then realistically they are indeed the same !

And please remember, I speak as someone with close ties to Gypsy's, so this is not some wild nasty stab at a community !

we have a population of around 80,000 here at the last count that was made available there was just over 70 know perverts.

the last time i saw any of the gypsy/travellers around here was about 2-3 years ago. and there was 5 caravans who stayed for a week and moved on again.

imho there IS a difference between true Gypsy's and the thieving scum that call themselves "travellers", what a lot of people living in close proximity "whether or not they like it" object to among other things is the amount of shit the twats leave behind, "rubbish wise"!! I'm not aware of any "paedophiles" living around here, but I would defiantly "discriminate" against them more so than Gyppo's or "travellers" :dunno:
