Good one Kryptonite

After reading about the Kryptonite exchange program a few months ago on this forum. I filled in the relevant on-line forms and decided not to hold my breath. I have had the lock for over 7 year with no prove of purchase. About a month later Kryptonite emailed me a UPS label and collected my old lock from my house. This morning I received a brand new (non-tubular) lock. This must have cost them an absolute fortune; it is nice to see that some of the big manufactures taking their business seriously. I can?t believe Oxford won?t even admit there is a problem with the tubular type locks?. I know who I?ll be buying my next lock from.

As an Oxford dealer, when Ben brought the original issue to our attention I was naturally concerned.
So I informed the rep..
no mate.. its bullshit

So at the Tailender I went and found said rep and undid half a dozen in front of him ( and an expanding crowd..
After each one I asked if he believed it now.. eventually he said yes ! !

But even after that Oxford STILL insisted it was balls and still kept flogging the shite..

I would ( even though I sell oxford products ) think twice about buying ANY security items from them !

Oxford have done the decent thing and are replacing the round keyed lock barrels now.See www.oxprod.com behind the flashing security icon.

I've bought an Abus lock to use whilst my Oxford lock is treated

come to think about it - oxford never replaced the faulty key i sent back to them under warranty...

Wonder if anything could be done if I brought it back with me this year ?

Thanks Coggy!! :yo: Thanks to your post I wrapped up all my Oxford locks (4 in total) and sent them off to Oxford, and guess what??

I have just received 4 brand new non-tubular locks back from them within a week.

Credit where credit?s due, well done Oxford.

I?m off to fill in a lottery ticket, it?s not often thing go this right for me :}
