We have both our cars insured with Admiral on a multi policy.

I pay less for 2 cars than some other insurers quote for just one, so I am more than happy with the premium I pay.

This morning, got an email from Admiral to say that due to the reduction in traffic currentlyon the roads, this has led to a massive reduction in claims, and to that end policy holders will receive a £25 refund for each vehicle that is on risk..

My immediate thought was, this is a scam despite the address looking legit.

So I called them and yes, it is true.

Refunds will be paid out over the next couple of weeks.

Personally, I would have been happy for them to just reduce next years premium but any refund by an insurer withiut asking is a result in my book.

So thank you to Admiral. Nice to see that some insurers have a few morals still (y)

Not with Admiral, if you have done a speed awareness course they treat it as three points on your license.

Other savings to be had on cars - our neighbours have 2 of their 3 cars on SORN at the moment.

Still be cheaper than some of the other quotes I was getting.

Last year they reduced my renewal premium by £200.

I have more trust in them (well at least as much trust as you can have with an insurance company) than some of the others I have had to deal with over the years with work.

Well I haven't so it does not apply, and I think before long some insurers will be taken to task over this.

I have heard a few rumours....

Which is fine if you have the facility to take the car or cars off the road (which being on the minimum 12 week lock down would be ideal) but.....

I do not have that facility, the wife is not insured on my car and she needs to nip out and take meds over to her mother from time to time, and mine is all ready to go in an emergency.
