PMSL,,, I attached blue reflective stickers to my Schubeth for the trip I was going on at the start of this thread. And no, I didn't get stopped or fined or any hassle form any cops in Spain or France, even got a nice wave from a few of them on bikes.
What I have noticed is,, as my stickers are blue, deep blue,,, that car drivers in the UK seem especially keen to pull out of the way at night and give me space.
Hee heeee!

Went to France week before last. Took 2 x breathalyser, hi-viz waistcoats (which we never wore) and spare headlight bulbs. As Jono said, most helmets sold in this country come with a warning about putting stickers on them so I wasn't going to do that. I wouldn't know how to deflect the Bird's main beam so nothing done there either. Take a look at French bikes and the gear they wear!

I'm also told it's illegal to filter but the French bikers were aggressively scything through the traffic so I followed suit. Went straight through the middle of Lyon (second city after Paris) and saw a few motorcycle police. Not a problem. I think if you're wearing decent gear, your bike's well maintained and you're not riding like a git then you would be unlucky to have any problems with the French police. We go every year and have never had a problem.

I believe there's an agreement between the countries to chase people back to the UK who have been caught on a speed camera coming but if you do get caught by a speed camera then you deserve it because you must have been asleep and missed all the large warning signs they put up.
