I stand to be corrected but as far as I know Honda do not sell an alarm for the Bird..
I have just trolled all the Honda official sites and whilst all sorts of wonderful ( not ! ) accessories are listed there are no alarms at all.

What makes you say yours is a Honda one Stud ?

As it has "HONDA ALARM SYSTEM" on the boxc7u8 , belive me its genuine Honda:bow: , And is specific to the Blackbird. Honda fitting instructions are for the xxw(mine), also has Honda on both keyfobs, I think they only made them for carb model. I have checked my self on the Honda web site too and I cant find it , But I also seem to think that it was a dealer fit only as instructions were worded for the dealer only, I also have been told that it costs around ?300 fitted. So stand corrected :t , but can anyone back me up:dunno: ?.

Errr. the part number seems to relate to a Spyball ..

But ! Yes it is a Honda fitting.. They and I have sussed it out now..
If you want a replacement David Silver still has a few left in stock ( as you know he buys up old stock ) They were avaiable for the carb version but were dropped when HISS came out.

If you already own or puchase a carb model without alarm is there any point in going for one of these "Honda" jobs rather than a different one?

My own personal view is no.. As I mentioned they are Spyball ones, and worse, they are ( now ) old technology ones too.

Whilst the basic system is good, if they go wrong I am afraid ( as someone else on here has recently found out ) trying to get help from Spyball is a bit of a non starter..

After the response elsewhere backed up my own feelings about the Datatool products I went to see them today and have arranged an agency which will start shortly..
I may well be in a position to offer really meaningful discounts to club members, so hang fire a couple of weeks if you can :p

Thanks for that, I had seen the spyball bliper they seem the same as the one for my "HONDA" alram, but for the money I paid you cant go wrong I suppose, been on 3 months now no problems at all, works well. If it aint broke there'l be no fixin.
