Wow, shazam,holy jetski
After meeting at the biker's cafe at Bridgnorth, Captain AJ, along with Chris, Mikey, Gary, Huw & Dawn headed out towards Ludlow (helped along the way by the trusted Garmin). What a pity Tim (he's not dim - IXXRA) wasn't with us, cos he's the expert on how to avoid sheep!! We nearly brought home some mutton to make cowl (welsh stew), but sharp eyed Huw (Stealth Rider) used his masterly technique to narrowly miss one who decided to cross the road at the last minute. All he was bothered about really was how to avoid dropping the bike!! Sod the sheep!!!!!!!
On arrival at the Elan Valley Visitor's Centre, one of the stops Captain AJ had chosen for tea & a bite to eat, we found it CLOSED until March 16th. Not even the toilets were open, much to the dismay of Mrs Stealth Rider who was absolutely 'busting'. Not the time for people to stop & talk to admire the bikes!! A quick exit was required back to Rhayader. AJ then took us up to Llanidloes, but dear old Garmin took us off route up a track with matured grass growing up the middle. Mind you at one point we thought we were heading into someone's farmyard!! We finally found the main road again (after going round in one big circle - surprise, surprise) & headed off to Llyn Clywedog (scenic pictures attached). As you can see the weather was good to us, but was getting a bit 'nippy' on the way home. Gary & Mikey left us at Welshpool, only to miss Chris 'aqua planing' through the flooded road on his jetski, much to the amusement of Captain AJ who was glad to get to the next loo stop (need I say more). Can you wash leathers!!
Looking forward to the next series of AJ's adventures. :neenaw:
