Hi Russ

Amazing what you can do on a wet afternoon! Seeing as yesterday was crap weatherwise and I was faced with domestic chores, I chose instead to play about with some video editing of our brisk scamper through Arthur's Pass when we were down in the South Island of NZ last year on the 'birds. Edited down ~90 minutes into ~9 minutes. My first attempt to be creative: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASxx-GhweyQ

Some of it is a bit shaky but that's what you get when you're moving along a bit. Might be able to tidy it up as I learn more about the editing software.

Hi Geoff,

Sorry only just notice this !! Despite the heading !!

I'm at work right now and Big Brother won't allow us to watch UTube vids so I'll watch it tonite when I get home, is that the one where someone had to use the extra braking power to stop themselves from being a replacment pillion for the bike in front !!!

We're gonna be off to Florida in April with my son, etc, but as soon as we get back we'll be planning next years visit back to NZ, so watch out !!

I have been in touch with the guys who organised our trip last year to pre-book another visit next year !
We've decided to fly to Auckland, pick up the bike there and then ride down the North Island (where we hope to catch up with you and the guys) and then carry on to the South Island and then drop the bike off at Christchurch and fly back home from there.
There are a lot of places in the South Island we want to spend more time in following last years 'whistle stop' tour so we're hoping to spend a bit more time there.
Will probably be around the same time of year, Feb/March but once we get back from Florida in May we will sort out a definate date and I will put a deposit down on the bike.
Not going to get a Beemer again I hated that bloody thing, glorified tractor !
Aim to look at the other bikes they have for hire like the Kwacker 1400 or Pan Am1300, we'll have a sit on them over here to see whats best.
Anyway now that we've decided to do it again it'll be exciting planning it all myself, I now the places we stayed at last time were excellent and so will sort them out ourselves this time instead of letting them organise it, should be a bit cheapr too !
So make sure you're around !!
