Answering to nobody
Well it goes like this.......
Once upon a time an order was placed through FOWLERS motorcycles for 1x nearside brake caliper for a 2001 model CBR11xx.. The order was placed around 2nd June 2004 along with other major components.
3 days later the first item arrives in a box bearing the HONDA logo,, 4 days after another box arrives bearing the HONDA logo, "brilliant" i think to myself but alas still no caliper.
A telephone call is made via a 3rd party ,who incidentally was paying for the goods, and 3rd party was told "Yes it's here waiting to be sent out!"
3rd party says "That caliper is needed urgently as previously stated,,please hurry up".
The above conversation took place on 10th JUNE 2004.....
In the meantime i am booked on the ferry for ASSEN, hotels booked, EMMA all primed and ready for the trip but still NO sign of the caliper.
Alternative arrangements were then made for me to sort the bike as FOWLERS  had NOT yet despatched it with 2 days before the ferry.
I manage to get to ASSEN and have a damn good time only to find on my return home that FOWLERS :loo: had now sent the caliper and it was sat in my hallway at home in a nice neat little HONDA logo box...
I immediately contact the 'person' (ANDY BALL) from FOULUP's who went on to say "sorry, you can't return it as its been longer than 24hrs since despatch".
I then contact HONDA UK and speak to a very helpfull chap 'ELLIOTT' who assures me that there is NO problem returning the item.
I then send the item back to FOWLERS who inturn contact the 3rd party purchaser claiming the caliper is in the wrong box (WTF)...
The caliper was sent straight back in the box it was supplied in,,the one with the HONDA logo, all idid was wrap the box in brown paper and send it back recorded delivery..
FOWLERS then REFUSED to accept it saying i'd re boxed it and the box it was in was for a set of indicators...
Anyway......phone calls were exchanged over days and FOWLERS would not budge, i would not budge when all of a sudden $%3un
There at my door is a courier with a parcel for ME... I signed for it, opened it and it was an exhaust for a 125cc scooter from FOWLERS!
I re contact FOWLERS and speak with :m 'ANDY BALL' and asked him if his despatch staff or he infact knows what they are doing.
I asked if a mistake could have occured whereby my caliper was put in the wrong box or infact sent to the wrong address prior to me receiving it?
"NO" was the reply," we are a professional outlet and that cannot happen"
Well how the fook did i end up with an exhaust for a 125 scooter belonging to an innocent purchaser in ESSEX????????
Simple.................'YOUR CRAP!!!!'
Another call to HUK and they themselves contacted FOWLERS on my behalf and explain a little customer service etiquette.
Within 2 hrs FOWLERS had found a HONDA logo box with a bar code relating to a caliper and sent it back to HUK for my refund.. AMAZING how their faultless service and despatch management don't make mistakes and the exhaust i have must be a virtual one that i have'nt just stubbed my toe on :B
