Hi
I'm posting this because for me it's definitely mission accomplished! Found a leaking fork seal and read about the Jaws upgrade. I love messing on but I'm by far a competent mechanic. I can do the basic servicing etc but I've never took forks off a bike before let alone split them. After copious amounts of research I decided to take the plunge after a bit of encouragement from Jaws.
Long story short the job is done and it rides great! Jaws offered his contact details, which I used a few times, to make sure I was on the right track. I'm really grateful for the information and input from members on this site. I can say with confidence, in 20 years of motorcycling and various forums I've ever come across any forum where a member says call me up anytime between 9am and 10pm for advice and actually means it! Awesome!
Thanks for the advice folks, much appreciated and a little more confidence gained!
Ride safe.
