nearest the camera was my father

40 odd years as an AA man. First bike I ever rode was an AA BSA. Dad let me sit on the front of him and ride it into the garage. Me on throttle...him on clutch. Launched myself over the handlebars trying to start it when I was about 8. Didn't understand niceities of valve lifter and ignition advance/retard. Earliest memories of boiling chain in oil  I was always nicking his tools to repair my bikes. always had to check his tools each morning before he set out. I remember him coming home on a winter's night and my mum having to pull his frozen clothes off. eeeehhhh and they think they had hard times oooppp North. :m pansies!!!
