ferking virus

just installed a new hard drive..slapped xp service pack 2 on and hey presto loosing connection to the net every 2 mins and have to reboot :mad:
further investegation reveals i have 2 viruses that are just banging open ports and XP sp2 shuts down all out going ports if more than 10 are outgoing (security issue) :bow:
so swift restore before sp2...quick download of AVG..2 fookers "healed".SP2 reinstalled and were all systems go again

so ..if you keep loosing connection every couple of mins and are running SP2 you may just have a trojan or 2 :bandit: :shooter:

If I remember rightly its the "worm blaster" virus.I've had the problem twice when re-installing XP.The micro-soft site has a small program to download to remove it.
