First time to today - Jane agrees that middle nipper [Charlie] is big enough to ride pillion on the BIRD

He's raving Bike mad and even at 8 years old has been bike mad for as long as I can remember.

So despite it being bloody freezing but sunny, he dons the kit [protective clothing loaned by Ian Robbo - thanks dude :bow: :beer: ] and grabs hold of the pilion strap [as borrowed from Chunky Monkey :bow: :beer: ]

First venture out..............2 miles then back - all at 30mph !!

Return home - Thaw out........"Can we do it again Dad?"

Second venture 5 miles up to 50mph

Return home - Thaw out........"

Took to pillion riding like a duck to water.

An hour later [just as I've removed thermals.....undersuit......leather et al]....
Dad........................ ?

So off we go aqain - this time for about 30 miles - up to 50'ish - then nearing home - quick blat up to the ton

He loved it to bits so say hello everyone to Charlie - BIRD's youngest member

Suspect I'm going to have a shadow all summer - was explained to him in no uncertain terms that sometimes...........just sometimes, Dad wants to play on his own!!

my boy is six and he loves bikes. he used to sit on my fireblade as long as i didnt start it up. then he sat on my last bird and now this one with the engine running. got him a little 50cc off roader around xmas but he still hasn't ridden it properly yet he watches his thunderbirds dvd twice a weekend if i'de let him!!!. i think i'' have to take my time over this one.
