The U Boat has an auxiliary Diesel engine for charging the batteries so he should be interested.

Do you have a better time with a £1,200 watch over a pound shop watch??

I usually stick to just the two brands but the U-Boat is left field enough for me to be interested. Any chance you can get hold of a couple of photos and email them to me? Also, can you find out what year the watch is, what model number and (just to keep Mr Beaker happy) when the diesel was last serviced .

I thought all U-Boat chronos were 50mm, so a bit confusing as well as interesting

Don't they supply watches to the Italian navy? Quite handy if you want to accurately time how long it took you to surrender I guess.

That's Panerai although that was to Italian navy divers back in WW I and II times. Not sure if they do now, though.

As long as he's not a cereal killer or a screaming poof (like Beaker), that's cool. Many thanks, John (y)
