Thats it, from now I'm going the elite squad of 'Fair Weather Riders'.

Why?. :dunno:

Well its not that riding in pi$$ing down rain getting soaking wet, slippy ice having your arse trying to grip the seat, fog and avoiding head on loons in cages or freezing my tits off with the cold bothers me, its having to clean the fookin bike afterwards. :B

Yesterday Rich and I went to Prestwold to try and secure a track for next years Rider Skills Days and upon returning home, apart from suffering from mild hypothermia, needing copious amounts of coffee and the desire for hot bacon butties, the bike was in shite state and its taken me the best part of today to clean the fecker.

So thats it. Unless the roads are dry and clean the bike stays under wraps. (look like I wont be doing much riding with the feckin weather in this country then)

Feckin country -what happened to the hot glorious day of summer I remember as a kid, that reminds me, just where did I put my rose tinted glasses.

JET..

..WASH the thing then use hair dryer to dry it off!!

Mine looked so shite when I went up to Manchester for Toy run..Rhino said 'Blimey chuck I didn't know you had come off it' I looked at my bike in horror as I have'nt come off it bit it looked like I had chased it down the tarmac on it's side. Had to go over and check it out myself.

all i can say is i highly reccomend scottoil fs365 spray, works a treat, is water based so you have to retreat it after a ride in the rain. but anything that has started to fur up will be attacked by the fs365 and restore it to its pre salt days. cracking stuff, try it. we knock it out here for 5.99 for a litre or in 5 litre containers ( heingerickes manchester)

cheers lads

Chuck, real men don't own a hairdryer, nor know how to use one.

I have (still) a full head of hair but I haven't used a comb or brush or HAIRDRYER for about 10 years!! I am the original Wash & Go!! :f :f

Use my wifes on the bike tho!! :neenaw:

I'd like to agree

with Allan but I can't keep me ass off the saddle. I went to Shrewsbury yesterday and had to spend the best part of this morning cleaning. I have never seen such crap on a bike. It was a grey coloured goo, very sticky and prolly full of salt. Phoned Jaws for some of his magic spray and a couple of 100watters as I could see b*gger all in the dark. Roll on the Spring. :yo:

Is that the same magic spray they use on footballers when they have been rolling round like they've just been shot, one spray and they're up and running like nowts happened, I want some of that for my knee and shoulder.

Fair Weather

Hi Guys.
Having been a dispatch rider for many years to be honest I've done all the riding I want to do in the rain, unless I'm on holiday of course.
Other obvious reasons are you can't use your bike fully and the hours of cleaning afterwards just make the whole thing a no-no, then there's the safty factor too. Its fair weather riding for me and that's why I moved to Spain, I know it's onlt 300 days sunshine a year but.......
Cheers Paul
