F***ing Courriers

I waited in ALL DAY today for a delivery - only to find they've only just picked up the consignment from the seller this evening:bang:

And of course, as they've not left a calling card, I can't get them to leave the parcel in a safe place from their web site:bang:

So they'll probably take the fecking thing back to their depot tomorrow as they won't get a signature here:bang:

AAARRRGGGHHH!!!! c7u8

Ah, I feel better now:-0)

by stark comparison

now this may seem weird in comparison, but in the last 8 weeks I've been doing most of my main shopping on line. Everything from new walking boots, books, even my new North face jacket that arrived yesterday. I reckon I've had at least 20 items delivered since the beginning of January. Oddly I've been out every time, seriously, not once have I managed to be in, yet every time they've left a card that reads "stuff left in your outbuilding" even though they are high(ish) value items that should be signed for, in the past I've got a card shoved through saying "tough shit son, ring this ?1 a minute number and we'll come again if you are lucky". So what's changed all of a sudden :dunno: , these deliveries have been a mixture of Parcelforce, Fed-Ex, the green and yellow company (you know, with green and yellow vans), UK Mail etc .... :dunno:

Perhaps it's called competition?? :dunno: the usless tossers in charge have probably just woken up to the idea of having to give a "reasonable" service or they will lose contracts and go out of business!!:dunno:

Hmm, not been my experience. If the item needs signing for & I leave a note on the door saying 'please leave with neighbour', the dopey jobsworths still put a note in the letter box saying they've returned it to the depot.

And when rearranging the delivery I just get the usual "the driver's not allowed to leave it at a neighbour - it's company policy". I can then tell them to leave it in a particular place & they'll do it. Just not on the first delivery :wank:

I get all my stuff usually, but I work from home and have 3 cameras covering the route from the road to my front door. :yo: I see them coming, making excessive 10-point turns in the street and the final 10 minutes in the back of the van kicking things around to find my parcel.

With Yodel replacing two companies and them screwing up everything, the number of reliable couriers continues to decline. DPD have been good for me, Fed Ex are reliable, Parcelforce sketchy. Ultimately the driver has you by the balls if he decides to take the afternoon off.
