Exhaust hanging off!

My Remus single-side can is now hanging off. The circle hole at the top of the bracket had snapped, so it's not attached to the foot hanger any longer. I've tightened the bolt as much as possible just to hold it through pressure at the moment. After taking a look at it I've noticed the bracket screws onto the side of the can at two points, and one of those is also broken off!

Any suggestions? Are replacement brackets available? Is it worth me contacting Remus? Would a simple wrap-around band do the job better?

I need to do a 200 mile trip in a couple of weeks so the quickest method wins.
Remus Innovation can, looking much like this one:

Just a thought...

But arent the cans on a bird a factor in the rear subframe strenght?

They are in the Busa and one of the reasons they didnt cover all rear subframe breakages was that after market cans had been fitted which Suzuki stated help weaken the frame as the OE cans were factored into the design to help support the frame?.

Now if we put single cans on, or even after market cans, can this help negate any claim later on??? :B

Jaws, 1200 Pete, you technical guys - any comment???

Tsk Allan,, you should KNOW the answer to this one mate..

Honda's are made properly out of real metal, not compressed tin foil and melted down railway tracks.
The zort does not form an integral part of anything other than the zorst :p !

And it is still very dubious if the zuk info was correct or simply another smoke and mirrors trick by them..

Best and quickest repair is to get a ring clamp and slap it on.. No worries, no probs and no great expense :p !
