My lad asked me to price up a dvd/blu-ray..
E-bay...I was just about to hit the 'buy now' button.
Looked at his past feedback...474 negatives in 12 months??
How are these unscrupulous tw@ts allowed to operate on pirate bay?

The thing that is really hacking me off on eBay is regularly ordering stuff from what is purported to be UK sellers that is actually coming from the Far East. Just be honest!!

The buyers can be just as bad - I recently sold some OEM BMW body parts and accurately described them as 'BMW High Performance Black'. The buyer contacted me and said he wasn't happy with the colour as 'he had hoped for Gloss Black'. Being a decent sort of chap and knswing they would sell again easily I offered to take the parts back and refund the full amount (over £400) less my postage cost (£28). Then he left negative feedback, the only time I have had that in over 800 transactions!

Report the twat. If you clearly stated the colour then he has no right to be negative.

Yeah..full of imports, the uk only tab is pretty much defunked.
I like the 'How did we do' full of our own impotence at the bottom of the page.
I have started a mission and put my comments on everytime i see something rougue like.
Probably won't get a response until i breach one of their many dubious policies.

If it bothers you stop being lazy & scroll down, traders should be putting their business address on the listing 99% of those in the far east do so at least you know before hitting buy it now, after while you will get used to what far eastern ads look like from the listing & usually the username so you can avoid them if you want, but buy in the uk & you will pay more

Last November through Facebook marketplace Bev ordered a sit & ride Unicorn for youngest Granddaughter’s third birthday in January, she paid £49.99 for it, she gave up on it when it hadn’t arrived by January, last week Postman knocks on the door with a parcel to be signed for, I carried the parcel through to Bev, she opened it & sure enough it was the Unicorn, sit & ride? Yeah if you’re a fucking borrower.
Must admit it provided plenty to laugh about.

The business address appears as a town, at least it does on the iPad. May be different on a full size computer/laptop. Many of these buggers adorn their listings with union jacks and 'UK stock' banners.

I don't have a problem with buying from the Far East, just want honesty.

The business address shows in full on a laptop but usually just shows a town at the top of the listing its fairly common for that to be London or any big city but down near the bottom I get the full address which usually wont relate to the above eg China, Hong Kong or Taiwan

I agree I like to know where stuff is coming from too it annoys me if the listing says 3 to 4 days delivery then once you have paid it comes up as 30+

The only stuff I buy off Fleabay is some of the car cleaning stuff from BMW direct. I don't trust much else, even Amazon is riddled with fakes.

There I a lot of decent stuff as well, particularly with 'private' sellers.

Recently I picked up a brand new set of OEM alloys and tyres for my car, delivery miles only, for significantly less than a new set of tyres will cost me in about three years. Would have cost me about £3k more from a dealer, which obviously wouldn't have happened.

Great place for buying golf balls as well!!

Blow me down if I don't have an issue with an eBay seller today.

I blame this thread!

Long story short I ordered some exterior lights - the manufacturer does two very similar models, the main difference being that one is made is marine grade steel suited to coastal areas, the other not. Visibly they are slightly different as one is assembled using grub screws, the other a single nut.

Having bought some of both types in the last year I know what I am looking at - the listing clearly showed the heavy duty version with a description in line with this. I put in a return request yesterday, seller has responded saying it's my fault, they supplied what was ordered.... I have just looked at the listing from my purchase and it has been changed to reflect what was delivered - the listing remains live so I assume that as they have changed that so the one attaching to my transaction, essentially the same listing - has changed as well.

Marvellous.

I take a screenshot of whatever I order online (especially Fleabay) for just such occasions. I've only needed it a couple of times, but it has helped each time.
If you do then make sure you include the clock in your screenshot....
