Off to france towards the end of August (23rd), not wishing to tempt fate but having read all the threads on the reliability of the Birds electrics man8um and having suffered before, en-route back from France (Home on a low loader...Nice) :xm , who is the best for B/Down / recovery for europe. Got AA for this country.
Also anything I should specifically check electrics wise before I venture far from home or is it all in the lap of the gods. 2004 bike, 19000 miles, regulary serviced, changed reg/rec after last debacle, just had a new battery fitted.
If my sports / tourer :p goes tits up on me this time it's going.

Jono, I use these ... a mate has called them out 'twice' with no problems..

This one covers for accidents / accidental damage .. as well as just a road side breakdown, the AA have been known not to..

enjoy your trip pal..

Firstly if your a worry wotnot then yes take out recovery assistance. Generally birds are ok if you have done the pre-checks/service before you go.

in the life of books, this is a very small chapter

Unless your playing a major role in that chapter. Nip over to the help section and check out the number of electrical problems reported on the "generally reliable" Bird. d34l

Just bought this cover along with the travel insurance. Relieved to hear that it covers accidents as I couldn't find any info on this.

I must have missed something then as these people were one of the one's I considered for my trip out to Mugello, but I couldn't find anything on their site about accident recovery abroad. In the UK, yes, but abroad I couldn't find anything, although I didn't actually contact them to ask.

I think European breakdown policies are just that - breakdown policies :dunno:

Oldbull - you are a life saver. After receiving my documentation, all I could find was references to breakdowns. But, as you've pointed out, there it is on page 3 :yo:

your welcome gents...

I insured my bike with ebike and they dont do a breakdown policy. so the price of the European & uk cover + ebike ins was less than my original insurance renewal ..if that makes sense lol..

plus the benefit of knowing that it works.. (twice :p ) and hes a bird owner and lurks on here h1d1ng2
