Thanks to all those who made this a special weekend if not a little damp at times
12 tents 18 campers plus a few day-trippers put in an appearance and it was a pleasure to see you all
Even though it pissed it down all day on the Saturday and it was decided not to have the rideout the fact that the pub opened at 9am and stayed open all day till 1 am on Sunday helped
I'm not sure but i think a few photos were taken and will be posted shortly
And a big happy birthday to Ally who celebrated her 21st over the weekend :beer: :beer:

Just to say thanks to all for a great time - my first "bash" - won't be the last !!

Had a really great time despite the weather - still it gave loads of time for natter and getting to know each other.

So what sticks in my mind after the event....weeelllllll......

Meeting JAWS for the first time........
The strange noises in the middle of the night - rumor has it at least one tent was seen to be deflating/inflating during the night to a loud noise - warning "no matches to be lit"

The "table & beer balancing game" - nice one tooty!!

Those bacon butties in the mornings.

The "spoons" game - best described as musical chairs - without the music.... or the chairs.... !!!

The "birthday chorus" this morning.

The "macky D's" run this morning - good samaritan Ali took JAWS in the car to avoid an embarrasing "movement" - on her return someone else needed rescuing!!

Oh and JAWS...... on arriving home I was promptly asked "hows it been"... my reply "wibble" was simply met with a shake of the head and a "he's still the same, it's not helped".

When I asked "hows the weather been" I was told there was a little rain yesterday but other than that it's been dry........ so that clod on the weather map really was over just us......


All in all it was an Ace weekend... :yo:


Lastly - S&Q - I'm really sorry 'bout what happened. I didn't get there until after 8.00 pm Friday and everyone was standing/sitting around by the tents chatting and drinking so I was welcomed and just joined in. Only time I went into the pub was to get drinks, I thought all the BIRD folks were outside by the tents. With other bikers about in the pub as well I'm afraid I wouldn't have realised you were part of the group.:dunno:

Please, please don't let this this put you off as the folks around here really are a pleasant and friendly bunch.

If you're interested I' planning to make the run down to Bassett's next Tuesday evening. If you want to come along I'll be happy to swing by you're way and introduce you to folks there?

Despite the weather, the pub was open for just about enough hours to get me pissed enough to end up doin the disco at a wedding at our hotel next door...More free beer:beer: .....

Good to see Silverone, Canary, and their respective gorgeous wives again (sorry for calling you Dawn, July--- Its just my senility)

Sorry if I have missed anyone, but as the senility, my memory iasnt that good nowadays...LOL

If its any consolation S&Q, they ignored us on friday night as well, but thats only cause we hadnt got there then... Dont hold it agin em, as they are a good crew and wouldnt do it knowingly.....

Thanks for a great weekend, Julie and i had brill time. the weather was a bit shite to say the least but it did not spoil it. it was nice to meet new faces, esp Derek & Bev i enjoyed your company, over the weekend. Derek thanks for giving rest of words to Dawns song, we can now get past the first two words of the song,
Dawn i still enjoyed your rendition honest.
S&Q i feel a bit silly now knowing you were there but did not know you, i would never have blanked you had i knew, sorry. I dont even own a Bird and from the start have always been made welcome, next time.
