Gypsy....

please post or e-mail details to me, times, routes etc. Guess I better go buy a new tent then!

I stopped off at the Vic once before for a break mid-way through a 200 mile run-out - the food was excellent!

If the weather's kind it should be a great weekend!

An alternative

Hi Gypsy
Finally escaped from the ship and am able to use real internet again. Got your message about the end of season bash. Just to let people know that the previously organised 911 weekend on dartmoor for the same weekend is definitely STILL ON! When it was organised we didnt know you woz gonna have this one the same weekend. Anyhow, not to worry plenty of space for all - please see note under "Ansome weekend moi lovers" for full details. Hope you all have a good weekend and if anyone thinks Devon is closer - or nicer (clotted cream etc) then take a look and let me know. I shall be going anyhow as its my birthday!

Anybody requiring a tent, try CCC camping

www.cccoutdoors.com

They are having a very good sale at the moment, I bought a discount card ?3 per year, which allowed me to buy a nice shrike 4 man tent for ?45 instead of ?100,and it is so easy to put up and take down, I even managed to fit it back into the bag it comes in, I also got two air mattresses for ?6 each instead of ?12 each
result.

Straw mattresses? you're joking mate, the powers that be wouldn't let their precious prisoners sleep on straw mattresses.

Well peeps, having looked at the esteemed list of those going to the EOSB a lesser person would have been put off - but NO, dartmoor is still on, and those less geographically challenged people who know where it is are more than welcome - just bring your passports for M5 border control. Clotted Cream, Pasties, Real Beer and top roads and as many forms of accommodation as you want (and Me of course!). Keep the dream alive.....! :neenaw:

Well done, Gyps - I will arrange a smooth crossing at Taunton border control!! Try and drag Moog with ya.... Come on, devon (and other West Country boys and girls) lets make it an alternative weekend to remember. Theres plenty of us to make both meets a success. Red is best - particularly when it has been done by Mr Taffy
