Automatic Internal fire doors can be a pain (although obviously necessary) - more than once I have asked for a different room in hotels if I see one anywhere near my room.Had a complaint today..over the weekend.
Double internal fire door, Patient decides to break through one fire door.
Reason...Staff keeping him awake at night with door closing and making a bump whilst closing?
Manager 'can you fix it?'....me...'will take a look'.
Fixed damaged fire door, slowed down the closer on the other door. patient watched us do it and commented...
'That's a great job, i can now go to bed and get some sleep'.
This was at 09.30 this morning.
No complaints or incidents recorded for client damage..
