E-Bay advice wanted

Sunday before Xmas I sold my old Yammy 650 on e-bay, put on the selling details 'local collection only' as the carbs are playing up.

So some guy from Manchester does the winning bid, I sent him the invoice and asked him when he wanted to collect, and heard nothing for 3 days, when he replies he said he would be down on the 27th to collect, pay cash and then ride the bike to Manchester! I responded same day to advise against riding it that distance with dodgy carbs, heard nothing back from him, he never showed up on the 27th. He has fairly good feedback, but 1 neg for winning a bid then pulling out of paying.

Now what should I do, push him for payment and collection, or just leave it and re list the bike in the Spring, guess best just to sit and wait, as the ball is in his court now anyway.

If he's near me i'll poke him in the eye for you Simon. Tell him you wanna know whats happeneing before you report him to Ebay for breach of contract.

I'm sitting on it at the moment, what with it being Xmas etc, if nothing else his comunications are shite, really dont want the hassle of reporting him, giving Neg feedback etc, if he had the decency to say sorry he dont want it, I would be happy with that.

I had the same kinda shit with a couple from Wales last month while selling some interior doors, he turned up and started cribbing about them being 'rebated',, i showed him the add on the PC and it clearly stated it!!!!
I just agreed to put them back on, he paid me for the commission cost & advertising then i drew ?20 more for them off the 2nd punter anyway.

fooking lot of emails needed to get things put right by ebay admin..im sure they do this to put you off contacting them :bang:
send him an email every day..polite but to the point ..give it a few days being xmas and that, then just leave him real shit feedback..post his id on the forum and let peeps bombard him with questions when he sells stuff
personaly if the fees arnt too much id just put it down to experence :xm
bidded on me own gear a few times to raise the price  ..and ended up with the winning bid %$fan %$fan

E-bay

Codbasher - as Reefer says - give him a couple of days and then give him shit feedback. Put it back on e-bay saying you had been arsed about by the previous winner and put his name in big letters! Call it revenge!

Alternatively

Make sure your listings show specific payment details i.e. payment within xxx days or it will be relisted

Was there a "second chance" bidder - worth contacting to sell if they want to buy it at the winning price?
