Well I once received a log book before I’d even bought the car.
What really happened was a neighbour bought a car then went on holiday, he requested that the log book be sent to be signed for (do they still do that option?) the log book arrived three days before he got home so I signed for it.

Come on you Hatters
Sold our car today. Guy sends me the money, co op to co op bank transfer, which took about 3hours to arrive. Did two jobs this morning before the buyer arrived to collect, both paid by transfer from diferent banks, money instantly in the account.!!
So the buyer turns up, we do the change of the V5 online....instantly, followed by trying to tax it so he can drive home. However, because it was taxed disabled, that required a trip to the bloody post office at 4.45. So I drop him at the
PO and wait outside in my van. He’s got the confirmation email for change of ownership printed off and the green slip from the old V5, but then texts me cos they must have the vin no too, which of course isnt on either. So a quick dash home to text him the vin, then back to collect him.
Fecking dvla, some great systems, but almost all miss the poxy mark at some point!

Well, I already have the log book for my next car that hasn't even been built yet.
