That guy is a bit bonkers.
I bought the silver Bird from him.
About 2 years previously I tried to buy a Bird with no key from him.
Couldn't get a straight answer.

When I was collecting Bird I mentioned about the other one."oh yea that's over in the shed" !!!!
He had two when I got it.
Mate tried to buy the other one.
Couldn't deal with him
Think I said this before.

He has hundreds.

Still kickin' it!
Now i'm worried that everything I mentioned is a bloody yam & i'm really not a lover of the things normally
That's 'cos you've probably been weighing one up sub-consciously for a-ages...:p

You thought about something like * ***** ** a Thundercat..?
:D

Mate of mine's got a old-ish TDM and has a great time on it through the twisties. (y)

Probably spends more time on that than he does on his 'Bird, these days.

Well, if you're thinking of TDM's then what about the early V-Strom 1000...? Great V-twin engine, which puts out more power and is slightly lower and marginally better looking than the TDM.

Had 3 Rf900's a very under rated bike & I enjoyed every one but don't want another, have thought about TDM's as there are plenty about pretty cheap but need to ride one before I buy as i'm not sure one would have enough grunt to keep me smiling

So I dunno really lads, light & fast +cheap enough to not worry about cutting up to make comfy is about as far as I have got, if nothing pops up that takes my fancy & will work for me I will got with the original plan & not bother

Light, fast, cheap.... hmm. If you want something that ticks those boxes then I'm thinking... VFR or RVF400, early R6, 400 Fireblade, ZXR400.

Guess there's only one way to find out then, sweet cheeks.

I think we're all agreed that grunt's great - but if you've got more than enough
t-force to enjoy the twisties - and it keeps you dry and pain-free on longer runs... :nusenuse:

I bought me R1 as a replacement for me GXR track bike, otherwise
I'd have bought something a bit more road-user friendly/practicle.

No. Fook that. I wouldn't... :qmeparto:

I'm a confirmed VFR-hater on the basis of a vibration-racked test ride many years ago
and the thought of RVF, R6, Baby Blade and Zee-Ex-R's makes my knees ache.

TDM900 talks the torque and lets ya walk (see wot I done there?!!)

Coming soon to an Eflay page near you...(y)

Hey - coincidence!

I know someone with a 'Bird and a Tedium, too!

Is your mate's name "Dave"?

Ooh, I had a GSXR400 in full race prep a few years ago. It was an astonishingly fast little thing. Too fast, and a bit small, for me at the time.

Went over to a machine shop to beg a bit of time on one of their CNC lathes, as I know they have the program for the parts I need to make and it was a LOT quicker to ride the 18 miles, do the job and return home than making the bits on my manual lathe !

Had a nice Covid19 encounter - delivered a prescription to a lady in a bungalow that is directly opposite where my mum lives - my mum is on the top floor of a small block.

Despite not knowing each other they have taken to waving to each other a few times a day which started during the first Thursday night clap.

It was so nice to hear the lady in the bungalow say how much my mum waving to her lifted her spirits during her isolation. I am sure they will be having a natter over a cup of tea and a slice of Battenburg when life returns to some state of normality.

Sometimes the little things that don't cost anything count for more than we can ever imagine.
