Although I have access to a trade ticket, I planned on going to the show with my son and a friend..
Just been on line to order the tickets and discovered they charge an 'admin fee'
Cancelled order... Thats another 3 visitors they have lost.
With numbers falling year on year, I would have thought they would stop all the penny pinching crap and try to get punters through the doors

Not been for 4 years because of rip off entry fees & extortionate cost of food & drink. Prefer to go to the London one in Feb & make a weekend of it.

And the price of car parking goes up each year. Bike parking presumably is still free...?

I live close to the NEC & always have but flatly refuse to go to any event there now & have not been to the bike show for 15 years because of the stupid prices & that's with trade tickets

Last year a mate wanted to buy a helmet & thought the "show special" price was off so checked on the traders own website where it was £20 cheaper with free delivery, needless to say he didn't buy & wont be going to the show again

About the only bargain I have ever got from there was my Sena
But then I did 8 of them soooo...........

I stopped going for the very same reason.

I went the year before last and by the time I had paid for fuel, car park, food and a couple of coffee's, I got very little change out of £70 for what?

To visit an over glorified supermarket/autojumble.

No thanks. I would rather pay the extra and go out to Germany every couple of years for the German show and make a long weekend of it and speak to people from the actual factories, not over glorified sales reps that you get at the NEC.

I reckon the Classic bike show at Stafford is way better and more interesting than the NEC bike show

Even that has begun to go the same way in recent years imo, I wont be bothering again
Newark autojumble tomorrow & that's a hell of a lot more interesting to me
