What do you recon to double bubbles on the bird, I'm 6' tall and have a flip type screen which I think looks crap and I cant see my dials. I want oppinions on double bubbles to see if its worth me buying one or borrowing one

When I got my Blackbird, I found I couldn't see the dials either so I put a double bubble screen on it and it made a world of difference...

I can now see my dials and it's also better for protection against the elements. It does push the draft up onto your head so you get more buffeting around the head but I prefer it much more

the proverbial horses for courses story mate... For me the Fabbri is the nicest one re. the shape, doesn't brake the bird's lines especially the shiny black dark tinted on shiny BLACKbird... Very well made, quite thick, good stuff - but others will tell you that other brands are the couilles du chien so, up to you... I have one to sell for cheap ?20 if picked up in London or ?27 if I have to mail it. I bought the bird with this on but didn't like the shape... I sold it to Jaffa, he sent me the cheque, I had a crash so couldn't send it to him and then I emailed him few times and never had any news from him, so I binned his cheque and the screen is still available!

I was going to get an MRA one from BikeHPS, because after reading all the old threads, I get the impression they're very good, plus they have the black bit at the bottom which will stop the clocks from melting. $%3un

Anyway, back to the reaosn why I posted - what do I get? The racing one which is a normal double bubble or the touring one. This is a flip up, which I'd usually hate, but it looks ok in the pictureson MRA's website. If the DB one is just going to throw the air at my lid, like on previous bikes, I won't bother as it's just noisier and I'd prefer the air on my chest as things currently stand

I really want it all don't I - a screen that gets rid of all the wind, but still looks kewl on the BB. :h

MRA

Bought my MRA DB from Mr Pinder, fitted it today and I think it's much better looking than the Powerbronze I was riding with last year, no complaints about the protection it gave, it lust didn't look right. Just need to get out and try the MRA now.

I also got mine from Jaws. I am 6' and suffered from wind blast over 70mph! and it wasn't what I had eatenR#?
The screen overcame all my problems(including flatulence) so highly recommended

Did you fit the double bubble or a flip

Its a double bubble - Jaws did not recommend a flip and I have not heard many who do

Any reason why?
The MRA touring is a slight flip and looks okay. As I said up there, I've had DB screens in the past and they've never really done a huge amount.

Took delivery of some of the brand new Pyramid D/B today..
They are bloody neat ! They now have the pucka lip on the bottom so they fit as per the OEM ones..
I dont think I am gonna get in to the MRA V others.. most folk know what I think anyways ! c7u8

Re flipper V d/b..
Rich 66 was one of the first to buy and try a flipper.. They had just become available and as he is not exactly a gnome wanted to try one..
I think it lasted about two days ! He suffered from having his head bobble about all over the place, plus various other wind induced nasty's !
Since then I have not exactly been a fan of them.. Whilst I do sell them I will not recomend them and tell folk as much.. I would rather lose a sale than a friend !

I tend to agree with Jaws, I think the flip screens work well if you are the right hight for them ie small, if you are a tall rider they seem to just greate more turbulance.

Although I have not tried the new MRA Vario Turing screen yet.
