Thanks for the great service John, the Pyramid double bubble screen arrived in Kiwiland this afternoon; one week after emailing you ? pretty darned good! Took just over an hour to fit being careful and it?s really rigid and looks great too. The test will be when I take Jennie to Lake Taupo tomorrow night for dinner!

Obviously the problem with double bubbles, particularly iridium ones is well known judging by the warning in the packet even though mine is black:

?Due to the optical characteristics of this screen blade, it is possible that direct sunlight will be concentrated into a small area, like a magnifying glass. This could, in rare occasions result in damage to other external items. We advise you, that the screen should not be placed stationary in direct sunlight?.

Err?. so it?s alright to actually travel in direct sunlight then, but you're in the shit if you stop for a nanosecond? Maybe we should travel in moonlight just to be safe.

Thanks again John, including providing a good laugh ? thank god it wasn't in your handwriting, haha. :neenaw:

Got any pics of the new screen Geoff? Would also appreciate some feedback on the screens performance.

Will take some shots shortly. In the 10 k of coming to work this morning, my impression is that helmet buffeting has completely disappeared. I don't know whether it's my imagination, but there seemed to be a bit more reflected engine noise but its hard to tell - maybe because of less wind noise. Certainly a beautifully made screen and is rigid enough to take my radar detector hanging off the back edge of the bubble when I fit it back on.

More after my decent ride tonight...

I've got the black double bubble pyramid also. I don't think the sunlight will be a problem with this level of tint?

I had the Powerbronze Cool blue Iridium screem and it melted my dash, but not in the height of summer, it did it in the first two weeks of September, must have been when the sun was at an optimum height to get caught by the bend in the screen. Powerbronze did replace the dash for me though.

Here you go Andrew....

Photos as requested. I'm 5'8" and it's a hell of an improvement for me - far less turbulence. I'm now certain there's a bit more road and engine noise compared with the original screen but I'm equally sure that it's because there's less wind noise. No big deal as I normally wear ear plugs.

Jennie noticed that there seems to be a bit more wind blast to either side of her if she shifts about which could be right judging by the pattern of cowshit droplets on the screen after overtaking a stock truck - who needs a smoke tunnel to check aerodynamics :} :} :}

IMHO - a great buy.

Cheers
