I think this must be the record season for wet races and we are only half way through..

Nice write up again pal

Ok then... so Rossi is THE rain miester yes.. to get that title, the man has done good on michlin wets .. yes.. so if this years michlin wets are so bad, why dont they just stick a set of last years on the bike ??? the ones that gave him the title of Rain Miester ...:dunno:

simple innit... and they are not lapping any quicker in the wet this year on the so called superior bridgestones than they have done in the previous few years ..

workman and tools comes to mind ... aint that a slick in the pic anyways ???

Yeh M8, it's a slick. Not even Michelin can get a piccie of the wets they've given him - that's how bad they are, apparently. Just used the slick-pic to illustrate just how good a workman yer've gotta be to ride on them tyres...

...No wonder Stoner's won a few... p0pc0rn41

...Lebs'll be along shortly, no doubt... sp1ttt3

hehehe sorry pal I just cant help it :p you must admit it would be a good quick short term solution tho lol...

The wear on that tyre looks like cold tear m8.. we used to run the perreli dragon corsa for track days untill they resurfaced Donni .. a new set would end up looking like that after half a day riding :bang: they would do 4 or 5 full days at other tracks but not at Donni for some strange reason ..

Dunlops wear very well there tho which is strange cos I think the 208GP are a slightly softer tyre :dunno:

Just got to get my oar in untill the Assen thread comes along, then Ill go quiet for a while :p

Now I know why you sent me the route to the circuit for the Dutch TT ...

Im begining to think its summat I mite have said ... waited ages at the track but nobody turned up to meet me

Aye... :yo: Said it right from the start...and no reason to change my mind now!. As long as it's dry, Rossi's favourite - -and with the Hondas coming back on song (as predicted by OB) - they'll win races before the season's over! At Laguna, that win could come sooner, rather than later!

..."good season"...?

...Too right, M8!!

David, you mock because you can't see the Light. I feel sorry for you.

The rain that fell on Donington that day was sent by God as a test for Valentino. He was willing and able but his tyres were not. The French Devils betrayed him that day, but being Valentino he rose above it. He forgave. (Although, in a moment of weakness, he did refused to slip his tyre technician a length at the after race soiree.)

man8um

Being The Special One, he could have easily won the race, of course. In fact Valentino doesn?t really need tyres to win. I have it on good authority that in secret tests He lapped Monza 1.45 seconds faster than the outright lap record riding on just his wheel rims. Whilst chomping on a Wudy?.

For now though, He has to keep his true Greatness hidden from us. We are not yet ready to receive him.

You and others will see, soon, how truly magnificent the Yellow Messiah is.

Brother Eric, keep up the good work, spread the Word.

Nice one DA. I did a TD @ Donners GP on Tuesday and it's a surprisingly easy circuit to learn :-: . Not so easy to ride it hard though

The pace I ride - it?s dead easy, Joe! :p

It?s the one circuit where, at the end of every lap, I feel I could and should have gone quicker ? but never do! The blind crest at Coppice (where my lad hit the gravel, last time out); braking for the Foggy esses and getting out of the Melbourne loop give me my biggest problems. I?m just dead slow around the rest of the track an' all ? so no problem there!!

Ride safe (on the road) and like a tw*t on the track, M8.

Ditto all of the above although by the end of the day I was very commited into Coppice %$fan The hairpain before the start/finnish straight is so similar to Jerez I was gaining a fair bit of ground there, but I intend to go back and give it another crack. Brands GP twice in August coming up next, then the Gixer goes back to Spain for more autumn/winter TD's.

No idea, M8 - nothing booked and been too busy following MotoGP - Misano next! :lick: Next year's the year when I want to learn a bit more about sliding the bike around on its tyres (instead of on its side :p), so I hope we'll get together somewhere then, if poss. Keep me updated on your UK days, though - maybe the trackday genie will visit me before the season's out! R#?

Cheers, DS.
