State of Mind

I feel that the difference between biker and motorcyclist is no more than a state of mind. Simple as that. How, where, and how often a person rides; what they wear, who they hang with; how many events they attend, etc, is all largely irrelevant. Just consider whether riding, and your bike in general, is only a means to an end for you, or whether it makes your soul sing. For me the definition lies somewhere in there.

BIKER

Deffinatly consider myself as a biker although ive only had my licence a few years now 4-5 yrs, ride it coz its all i got in all weathers any distance anytime, anywhere. Cars just dont do it for me work on them all day since way back and just dont interest me at all ( plus dont have a car licence anyway never botherd ) ill ride it to work with a smile, and back again, and if im in the mood ill go back out and ride somemore dragging a few friends along ( who im trying to convert to birds aswell ) we all will ride anyware just to get there stop for a cig and a cuppa just to ride back again, plus motorcyclist has the word cycle in it and i aint seen any pedals fitted, and it sounds posh and to long, biker is quicker and easier to say, i wear the patches naming my last bike on my leathers now in its memory (as it ended up in ashes) i got more helmets than shoes as the wife keeps reminding me and a showroom poster of my last bike on the wall in the hallway framed with pride. Aint found a bird poster yet to replace it if i do that will be there lol.

The word "Cycle" has nothing to do with pedals. It relates to the wheels i.e bi-cycle, two wheels. Look on your tax disc, if you have one, and you will see it describes the vehicle as a bicycle. As for "Biker or motorcyclist" who gives a shit?

about 15 years ago I was on my bike and I had stopped in a large pavement cycle parking area with big lockable security hoops, very handy, but I was collared by a beat copper who said I had to move it, I pointed out that my tax disc said 'bicycle' and that "technically" I had the right to park there, he was very quiet for about 15 seconds, nodded slightly and then wandered off ....... I wonder if he ever checked this when he got back to base ...... :dunno:

Wolfie

Is a lunp
I ride motorcycles, to be a biker it needs to be in your blood though, it doesn't matter how many you own or how often you ride, it has to be in the blood. That's why Wolfie is called an alcoholic and Bert is a shirtlifter.

borrox, if it has to be in your blood i would be called ciderwhiskeywithsome redandwhitecellandplasma and to me that is a feckin stupid name. bit like calling yerself silverfox and then stating silver is a crap/slow/ugly colour etc etc. or lumpy when in fact you is a sphere and have no lumps at all.
