Luckily I have never had to deal with the CSA, but I do know many people who have, and I cannot name one instance where they have got it right, I think the concept of CSA is an excellent idea getting absent parents to take responsibility, however like most things it is the responsible ones who end up paying, I have known people quit well paid jobs to get out of paying CSA payments.

I dont see what was wrong with the old system where an aplication was made to the magistrates court and each case was decided on its merits. Now we have an army of overpaid uncivil servants getting a lot of the decisions feckin wrong.

I have to deal with the csa from both sides

I get fcuked over after only 3 days if i dont pay, why cos the RAF god bless stiff me with an attachemnt of earnings order and i get done for bringing the airforce into disrepute .Why ? cos its easy to do cos i work for the same side. Oh and why was i late paying, cos i was in afganifookinstan

Yet her ex aint paid in years,( now nearly ?22 in arrears ) I , out of my own pocket, track him down and pass on the information, where he lives, what car and COMPANY VAN he drives yet 3 years later, they still aint got a fookin penny out of him

So are the CSA doing a good job, are they fook .

ARRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH GOD THE CSA PISS ME OFF

The father of my girlfriend's kids pays of his own accord. That way he pays less and the mother gets more. When they compared figures, the CSA had been taking about 50% of his payments as handling fees or something. c7u8

no thats wrong!! :t the government DON'T take ANY money from the money paid in/taken for "handling" fees, unless it's a very special case, court etc, plus on todays mission to screw every father that loses out whichever way he turns, the total deductions are "supposed" to be no more than 15% of his earnings after "necessary" deductions,!! I believe this is for "new" claimants and not for us poor sods that are still being screwed by the old system!! and the practise of us trying to get on to the new system is a "little" complicated!! to say the least,!! as "we wot pay" know when you have any queries you end up phoning Belfast, falkirk and god knows where else to try and get a straight answer!!
my advise is never to phone, but write and demand a receipt for your letter, that way they cant "lose/deny" that you have informed/written to them, which they are fond of doing IF they have dropped yet another bollock!! and are trying to cover their arses!!

I had to deal with the CSA for a few years and I can see why the suicide rate went up after they came into it. My divorce was messy, (Wife had affair, I tracked him down. He can now walk with slight limp 10 years on. No sufficent evidence for a trial, etc etc), and they claimed ?500 per month for my two daughters. That was half my wage! When I spoke to the ex about getting a dd setup and leaving the CSA out of it completley she was more than happy because she never actually saw the money. CSA claimed ?500 off me per month to give to my ex, local authorities then removed ?500 worth of benifits from her!

In the end her new fella, (One with the limp), adopted my daughters and took on all financial responsibilites for them.

CSA still shite though!
