Went to my GP thus morning as they appeared to forget one of my diabetic medicines in my last order & I'm off on holiday for 10 days today.

English receptionist said go to the dispensary & tell them. Dis that, they confirmed no order for my tablets. Go to reception & tell them.

Back to reception who said I have to put in a request, did that last Monday, the surgery missed 1 item.

Reception said go back to dispensary & order again, they'll be ready to pick up in 3-4 days.

Stay at reception & say again I'm away from 2.00pm for 10 days & only have 4 days supply.

Receptionist: "if you knew you were going away, you should have planned things better, there's nothing more I can do."

At which point I lost it. Wasnt shouty but told receptionist I went there for help not attitude & if they weren't so hell bent on pushing everything on line the surgery wouldn't be in the sh1t they find themselves in. Finally got the tablets they missed off request but I've been told to expect a letter about my behaviour.

That should make for some good reading.
I had one of those letters
I did NOT appreciate it as the situation was caused entirely by employee
Got a mate suited and booted complete with a brief case
Visited and asked to the see person in charge

You will have to make an appointment

Oh, should I tell that to the court ? And what is your name as you are representing this place

errrrr.............. ummmmmmmmmmmmm

5 minuted latter sitting with boss man

I am here to request a copy of the CCTV footage of the incident

etc etc etc

Took a while but guy got it and reviewed it with me ( and my 'legal rep' .. who was actually just another IT guy I worked with at the time )

Oh. that is not how I was presented with the matter, how can we resolve this ?

Letter of apology, printed by the employee and your self, the employee to undergo training which is to be notarised and I informed of its completion

Yes sir

Two days latter letter got letter duly signed with an addendum saying the employee had opted to leave rather than take training

BTW.. my mate never said a word after entering the door until after we left !

Result all round

Good for you for telling the twat.

It annoys the living daylights out of me seeing notices in waiting areas of GP surgeries, A&E, other hospital departments, etc. that abuse will not be tolerated and staff deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect. I'm ok with that. What I'm not ok with is that most of these idiots don't seem to realise that it works both ways.

BTW, did she have big tits?
Judging by her age, she probably did once, now wears a belt to stop them dragging on the floor.

Most GPs have an online triage system.

That at ours works very well.

Prioritising those that need to be seen most.

No complaints from me.

Last 2 times I've used the on line triage system at my GP I finally got a call from a doctor 4 days after I began the process. Both times I was told to go to A&E & both times after a 6-7 hour wait, I was discharged & told to see my GP.

While I've had life saving interventions from A&E a couple of times in the past 6 years & excellent treatment from Papworth last year, the GP surgery system is an utter shambles. I haven't physically seen a doctor in my surgery for almost 5 years.
