DFDS ferry discounts anyone any idea how to get some form of a discount from these bods please, we intend to hit Dieppe from New Haven in late June, they have discounts going about a month or two in advance but I need to book the ferries sooner than later, it'll be for a cage dragging a bike trailer, I'd try the over 60's route if I knew how to go about it, thanks in advance,

I have seen something in the past offering discounts to local residents - Newhaven is only about four miles from me so I'll have a dig around.

Sorry Ian can't see anything at the moment but an acquaintance also remembers seeing discount s for locals in the past.

I'll keep my eyes open, but remind me nearer the time and I'll have another look.

Thanks for the offer, we did intend to take the bikes to my brothers on the trailer, unfortunately, he has nowhere to keep car and trailer safe, so that means we'll just have to continue straight to Le Mone and use the villa we've got as a base, we can also use the trailer if any of the bikes comes a cropper, we can also take any extra clothing or parts for men and bikes, and possibly Grants other half may be persuaded to come with us, as I've not ridden any distance it will also make things easier for me. again, thanks for the offer.
