Picked this up from another Motorcycle internet group.
If anyone knows Stratford Upon Avon there is a road running parallel to the river near the theatre, most days and especially at weekend it is full of motorcycles. (It is a designated motorcycle parking area).
Indeed it has become a bit of a tourist attraction and you often hear non bikers say that they have visited stratford just to see the bikes. We are not talking about one or two bikes, at weekends there are hundreds.
Anyway the council have decided that disabled parking is more important (even though Stratford has no shortage of disabled bays right in the centre of town) and the motorcycles are being moved out of the way, adjacent to an existing multi-story car park.

This was the posting I saw:
Visited the Waterside at Stratford yesterday, and was accosted by one of the local bikers. As of Sunday 13th April, the motorcycle parking along the Waterside is to be stopped, and bikes will have to park in a designated bit of the multistory. However, his description of the entrance to the parking certainly makes it appear unsuitable. It has bollards restricting access to bikes, but these are rather close together for bikes with luggage on, and in order to turn left into the entrance with a pretty much perpendicular approach, you need to go into the right-hand lane of the road and cut across - potentially dangerous. There is then another 90 degree turn to be made, probably impossible to get round in one go, over an area of floor coated in white paint - so that should be fun in the wet.
So there's going to be a protest. On Sunday 13th April, at noon, they want as many bikers as possible to go to the Waterside and park on the double yellows, on the pavements, everywhere - but boycott the new parking bit of the multi-storey. Anyone up for it?
