Dear FAST BIKES,
I was wondering if you dudes would send an old issue of FB to some of our flaccid, limp-dick American moto-rags, so they can see the target they need to aim for if they can ever get their testicles to descend. Reading Fast Bikes and some of the other Brit moto-mags, I hang my head in shame when comparing them to the worthless asscheese the moto-press here in the States squeezes out every month. You guys are most definitely top shelf!
Now then, with my verbal reach-around complete, allow me to point out where you dicked-up in April's article entitled "Weight Watchers".
As owner/developer of Superblackbird.com, I was of course quite please to see the venerable XX as one of the test bikes in this article. However, you mentioned in the technical highlights that the Blackbird has fully adjustable front suspension, and that ABS is an option. Neither is correct. The XX has never been fitted with ABS, and the Blackbird's front forks are, strangely enough, not adjustable at all.
Still, I guarantee you that even though the 'Bird is getting a bit long in the tooth, it will still run long, hard, and deep. In May 2003, I took my '00 Blackbird on one of the more insane Iron Butt Association "Xtreme" rides known as the "Bun Burner 3000". I rode my Blackbird 3,147 miles in less than 48 hours. This event ran through 4 large states in the Desert West. Attached is the IBA Certificate that documents this ride. The Blackbird is still one formidable road bike, I shit you not.
Thanks for your mag, and for never pulling punches.
