Credit Card Woes

Had my statement through from the credit card company yesterday and damn near shat myself. Item... Balance Transfer ?5000.. I havnt made a balance transfer so phoned them up to point out the error. Assistant on the other end says and what about the other THREE balance transfers made in the last week ?1100, ?200 and ?200 to a Capitol One Card... sorry says I but I dont have a Capitol One Card. The card was immediately cancelled and account being is now being handled by the card fraud section.

Now I do know that a certain motorcycle accessories company (NOT JAWS) has had their customer credit card records hacked/stolen and full credit card information posted on a Geocities web site. A friend of mine in Belgium who buys from this company has had cash stolen from his cc and I purchased an item at the beginning of November from them with my card. I can't prove this is where the information has come from so I dont really want to name the company involved on a public domain site.

I've spoken to Busters this morning and they say that they have had fraud investigators giving their system a thorough work out and found no evidence of hacking. They have had the hard disks on the system taken away for examination and told that there is no evidence of attack. Busters suspect the main server they were using in Germany and have changed to another which is based in the UK.
