Daughters ipad turned itself off and needed a passcode to restart, which she had forgotten as she was using fingerprint unlock. After a few attempts to guess the ipad is now disabled and is unable to restore through itunes.

Fucking shit company with fucking shit control.

Don't expect any help from apple, I have a iPhone 6 which belonged to my late brother in law, I've been able to wipe everything off it but I cant unlink it from his iTunes account and Apple said I needed a court order to do so, I wanted to sell the phone and give the money to one of the charities he supported I did it with a couple of old android phones no problem

That is strange, I have had several Iphones & never had a problem wiping itunes from them & moving the account to my next phone.

Same here. It’s a real simple process.

Sign out of iCloud, turn off Find My Friends and Erase All Content and Settings. This is the standard process when trading in or selling an iPhone or iPad.

Unfortunately I don't have my brother in law's password for iTunes, I tried logging in using my sign in and it just keeps telling me it's linked to my brother in law's account

Already been threatened with throwing in the bin.

And the ipad too.

Ok, now reset and set up as a new ipad.

Trying to reset through itunes on my laptop kept throwing the ipad off from itunes.
A trip to the Apple shop in the Trauma Trafford Centre and a wait until a techie was free, and he connected the ipad to a Mac and...........the ipad kept getting thrown off itunes.
Eventually he got it reset and all is good.


I did wonder why there were so many people getting their Apple products fixed, if Apple is so good.

The Samsung shop didn’t have anyone getting anything fixed.

My daughters have apple because their cousins and friends do, for face time etc.

I don’t like apple, but I'm not going to force my prejudices and viewpoints on others- like a certain troll near france does.

Probably because they don’t sell anything that needs fixing as much as Apple. I wonder why that might be………
