we just came back end of last week from touring in cornwall and would recommend checking out Polzeath. Its an unspoilt surfing beach with good camp sites ( tristram) or apartments ( oystercatcher ) if your feeling flush. We stayed there for a night with bikes parked right up to the door (No.3) and a fantasic view right from the front door.Rock around the hill and padstow from there on a ferry.

If you park in mevagissy the hatched areas in the car parks are free for bikes.Great pub on the quay. lots of rums.

Weston super mare was a laugh, but dearer than you would think to stay.

Porlock hill and the road out of Lynmouth to linton are both steep switch back roads, beware.

|Nothing you may not already know, but it all helps.
