My insurance company has until now provided free continental breakdown insurance.
This year they are backing out of the scheme, I dont know how good it was because I never had cause to use the service.
I'm already covered in the UK by the RAC for any vehicle I am driving or in as a passenger so I'm OK to and from Harwich for my annual trip to Germany but they want another £89.14 for two weeks cover on the other side of the ditch which I think is bloody expensive. I must admit they did bring me home from the McBash when the Ace went from a 1000cc four to a 750cc triple although the response time was shite.
Anyway I've had a quick look at the ADAC web site and they are asking 44.50euro for annual membership.
Question.... is this the cheapest way to obtain breakdown insurance for Europe?
