I currently have a 32" Bush TFT TV, a Pace Sky system and a Sony 5.1 Home cinema system. I have connected up the TV to the system but how the hell does the Sky box connect to the system. TV and Sky has 2 scart sockets but the very latest Cinema System from Sony has only the one. There are no other available ports on the Cinema system for audio/Din/Scart etc so how does the Sky get played via the amp ??

I am stumped.

I can't be @rsed to read all the replies, but with my set-up you simply use the "function" button on your Sony remote 'til it shows TV on the front display. The System will then provide the sound for whatever you are watching. No need to connect Sky to the Sony.

If someone else has posted this cure sorry for wasting your time.

Nutshell? too technical for me, does it have RGB & scart, do you have to buy a separate amp for it?

I tried that and the delay through the "system" means the speech is out of synch with the picture. How did you cure it?

I can't say I've noticed that problem. I have however had problems with picture/sound synchro on individual dvds. I've just this second tried the TV facility on the home cinema and it looks (sounds?) OK. Sorry I can't help.

Thanks guys for all your help, it was greatly appreciated. What I have done altho not brilliant as volumes vary is to route the amp/dvd to sky box and then sky box to tv. Sounds too simple to have worked !!

Glad you sorted it m8, you might have to play around with the volumes to get a happy medium if you really want it set up like that but personally i think you've done the right thing, the only real way to learn about this sort of stuff is to get in there and play about with it, i have to be honest and say thats not the way i would have done it but you've had a go and got a result that works for you and if it gives the sound you want from it, no problem. Well Done. Err......Smilies, ah er we go.k1ap
