Not sure if we're going to be able to go but I thought I'd post the details here in case they're of any interest to anyone.
Billed as the worlds biggest motorcycle show, the Cologne bike show runs from October 11th to 15th. It costs 12 euros to get in and is only around 250 motorway (yawn) miles from Calais. A 2 day ticket is 19 euros and from the size of the place, probably the best option. There are loads of hotel rooms in and around Cologne although they do seem to be filling up.

A Eurotunnel return going Saturday, returning Sunday night is around ?25.
Like I say, we're not sure if we can go yet, but if anyone is interested, post up.
