Saturday, 7 of us started out on the west coast, (one chap from Blackpool so that will do for the west coast). The air was damp but the skies were bright, Picked-up another 3 Preston and then made steady progress east. The clouds were very heavy as we passed Pendle Hill, but the rain showers held off.

By lunchtime we were at the North bay in Scarborough and the sun was shining. Suitably refreshed and a quick photocall on the beach, we set-off back via the North York Dales. Spirited ride via Pickering,Sutton Bank, Leyburn and time for an ice-cream at Hawes ( home of Wensleydale cheese). Then as time was getting later than was planned, it was a direct route home.

Hawes to Ingleton - boy do I like that road! had a 5 minute wait at the bottom, to allow the rest to catch-up. Quick stop at Caton to say a couple of goodbyes then home via Pilling Sands.

So, touch short of 300 miles for the whole day, and enjoyed every minute :lick:

Me the lad and a mate from work had a great day out
set off from Lets eat cafe A49 called at Mid Point (red Brick) Raven cafe the place was heaving bike rally so just a splash N dash down to battlefield roundabout garage for a breakfast 2 bacon, sausage, mushrooms, beans and potato wedges £2.59 large coffee £1.03 ny kind of prices carried on down the A49 but headed down the A488 Pontesbury and A489 back to A49 Craven Arms
The A488 & A489 were fantastic well worth the detour and hardly any traffic as they were all heading down the A49
After Craven Arms quick shunt down to the A4113 on your right to Knighton just out of the village centre turn right on the B4355 signposted Newtown up the hill quick stop watching some trail bikes in the distance head down to Newtown on the A483, fill up the fuel tanks head through Welshpool onto the A458 (Shrewsbury) heading back for another brew stop at Battlefiled roundabout signposted as the Livestock Industrial estate.
Quick blat up the A49 a lot quiter at Mid Point so didn't hang around and headed to nantwich via the A525 & A530

Through Nantwich A51 before joining the A49 back to Lets Eat cafe unsure how far will check toinight as was running anew tyre and "X" chain & sprocket set belated brithday pressies

I can feel another run up there coming off next month some time, we'll have to put an invite on the forum soon enough. A fantastic turn out from a couple of forums and great roads and even though it was thick fog in the Northwich area the day was brilliant sunshine couldn't believe it snow on the ground and great sunshine at Tarn hill even the police scooby running round through the day was always going the opposite direction to us.
