Apologies to those who turned up at Telegraph Hill on Sunday. I had a last minute trip up to Taffys in Caldicot to pick up the Bird and return her to the garage in Devon before I fly off to Dubai tomorrow. Typical bad planning, had already packed all my own bike gear in storage and so borrowed my old mans helmet (open face) and jacket and Taff kindly provided boots and gloves. Nevertheless I did stop three times at the services between South Wales and Exeter due to the cold nose! When I stopped at Bridgewater I was hailed by a friendly policeman who had been following me in an unmarked BMW! Luckily he only wanted to remind me to get a real sized number plate and let me off the ?30 fine. More luckily he did not notice the out of date tax disc (phew).
:blush: Must remember to put that back on when I get back in the summer. In the meantime drive safe one and all, I am off to join my ship in Dubai for 4 months in the Gulf (Emirates club class flight of course) and look forward to keeping in touch via this site or you can abuse my personal e-mail mowey99@hotmail.com if you wish! Wonder if I can rent a Bird for the day out there....
