I watched the news item this morning on the BBC about the climate protestors gate crashing some black tie do for MP's, bankers and various other bigwigs, etc. and the government minister ejecting one of them.
Good old Beeb was heavily biased against the way that he handled her, but I thought he had it just about right.

After what happened to the MP Jo Cox and in light of Jo Brand's comments, it was quite possible that she could have been another nutter with a firearm, knife or container of acid.

I don’t like MP’s & I don’t always agree with Greenpeace’s actions, given the current climate anybody acting like she did is foolish, it is stated that she introduced herself as to why she was there, at that point she would have their attention, why did she feel the need to go any further? My feelings are that she knew exactly what would happen.

Didn't look extraordinarily rough under the circumstances. In US she'd be dead.

Why on earth has he apologised??

:nusenuse:

And as for the patronising statement by the ‘aggrieved’........:bash:

This is simple. Everyone has the right to protest but if you do it in a way that could be considered a threat (it doesn’t have to be an actual threat) to anyone’s safety then you have to be prepared for resistance.

Once more an individual has done more harm to their cause thAn they can probably comprehend
