People that walk 4 -5 abreast, fair enough.

As for the pram, go fuck yerself Mr Brooke. What would you suggest I do with my 19 month old daughter? Tie her up in the garden while I go shopping? What about single parents? Want them to stay at home?

Wanna know what really pisses me off? Alleged intelligent people making really fuckin stupid comments like that! Go away Mr Brooke and dont come out again till after Christmas!

I don't want to get into a slanging match Bubba, but language like that isn't for the coffee shop. :t

The point I was trying to make was the fact that people seem to have the "I'll do what I want, and bo11ox to the rest of you" attitude (similar to your use of language in the coffee shop!). I don't have a problem with prams, single parents or such like. What I don't like is people's lack of consideration for others. It's the run-up to Christmas, the shops are full, why would you WANT to take a pram into a crowded shop? It must bug you having to push it around as much as it bugs us having the aisles blocked. I have been there and believe me I avoided town centres on Saturdays. If I did venture out it was first thing in the morning or after 4ish. This being for my own benefit as well as that of the shopping public.

So the next time you're only thinking of yourself try thinking of others as well, you may feel a lot better for it :f :f :f

Avoid the prams and shop online, I have just done all my shopping at Amazon and one or two other online shops, might cost me in postage, but no fuel to pay for, no parking to pay for and no prams !!

Lots of coffee to drink while you shop too :lol:

Now I ride..............

When my son was younger i used to go first thing in the morning and get it out of the way. Plus i had to use public transport at the time too (i now have a chauffeur) :k so i had all my bags, a baby and a pushchair.............. It was a total nightmare I didnt want to be stressing as i dont like shopping at the best of times, never mind with a pram. But i do understand peoples anger at people with pushchairs, they do look at you sometimes with that blank expression when they are blatantly blocking the way,, not ALL of them, just some. (and i might add that i was never one of those).

Just a wee bit hypocritical methinks, are you not saying bo11oxs to the parents who have no option but to take the kids in the buggy. We take the wee fella in the papus when we go into town, but seeing as he's 14lbs at 8weeks I don't think we'll be doing this for long.

This could run and run.

Live and let live is usually my motto, but my main point in the thread is that I just wish people (pram pushers or whoever) would just stop and think about the consequences of their actions.

Regarding prams in particular I don't consider them to be a problem generally, only when people take them into confined spaces. As I said earlier, and also mentioned by Crozzers, I used to try and go off peak. It's less stressful for me, and less stressful for everyone else. I never liked having to negotiate stressed-out mothers with tired and grumpy babies, so I didn't inflict mine on other people.

All the best with the little one. Looks like he could turn out a strapping young man. Fit a snow plough to the front of his pram and look out for people like me :}
