Christmas shopping rant

Just got back from doing the last of the christmas shopping and I have found there are a couple more groups of people who p1ss me off.

1. Those that walk 4 and 5 abreast and seem to have all day. :bandit:

2. Those who take prams into already crowded shops.

I've been through the pram stage many years ago but I wouldn't have dreamed of taking it into a busy city centre on a Saturday in the run up to Christmas.
It's the "f**k you" attitude. "I'm going to do what I want and bo11ocks to the rest of you"

Rant over. Thank you for listening.

thats a selfish attitude Steve if I must say myself, some people have no option but to take their small children in to town on the busiest day of the week, as they and many others dont have the benifit of being able to "pop" into town during the rest of the week as they are working,!! and as you know "you should" hold on to the childrens hand in case they get "swept" away by ignorant people who have no thought about anyone but them selves, and "dashing" about on crowded streets, and who in their right mind would leave a child in a push chair outside a shop nowdays???

Got stuck behind some twat this morning who obviously had allowed herself 3 hours to do the journey into town that normally takes 15 minutes and you can bet your last penny that she was one of those STUPID STUPID women that ponce around in the shops fart arsing around cos first she was undecided and then she just wasn't sure  I hate shopping, I hate drivers who are incapable of even managing the speed limit, I hate women who have nothing better to do than dawdle around the shops - basically they should all p*** off and let me get on in peace.

Right- rant over, I'm off to do the xmas shopping on the Internet, no queues, no hassle!!

blimey

dont you mean up north you have to hold the kids hands so they dont skive off and start commiting crime
as for leaving them out side the shop in the pushchair...there would be no shop windows left by the time you got back
the streets just aint the same thses days..take your eyes off the little nippers and youll be mugged or beaten to death by a gang of em
they should have little cages outside the shop you can stuff em in, or lockers or something :dunno:
and you cant leave em at home cos by the time you get back they will be a flap cut in the front door where they sell the crack through

BAH HUMBUG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bah! Humbug! Ebenezer Scrooge

"Oh! But he was a tight-fisted hand at the grind-
stone, Scrooge! a squeezing, wrenching, grasping,
scraping, clutching, covetous, old sinner! Hard and
sharp as flint, from which no steel had ever struck out
generous fire; secret, and self-contained, and solitary
as an oyster. The cold within him froze his old features,
nipped his pointed nose, shrivelled his cheek,
stiffened his gait; made his eyes red, his thin lips blue;
and spoke out shrewdly in his grating voice."
- A Christmas Carol, Stave 1: Marley's Ghost

And I think

that OAP's with shopping trolleys should be banned from shopping during my lunch-hour and that teenagers (esp girls) should be banned from all city centres period but esp in my lunch-hour and that it should be made compulsory for anyone with a puschair to firmly affix the toddler in it and not let him/her toddle (especially in my lunch-hour) and that indecisive people should be banned from queues in shops especially in my lunch-hour and in the lunch-hour all shops banks and all other service companies should not let their staff have lunch hours especially in my lunch-hour. :bang: :bang: :bang:

So, Steve, what (particularly) seems to be different at this time of year??? :dunno:

This is, after all, the season of goodwill towards all mankind - and clearly you must believe in that sentiment, since you have already told us you were intending to spread goodwill by purchasing gifts for others which as is the accepted norm, will give you much more pleasure in the giving  than the recipients will give back to you, in the receiving.

Ergo I must conclude that the very act of shopping for gifts must therefore be one of selfishness - QED - yet you have the temerity to accuse your fellow shoppers as being 'selfish' - when you, too, are engaged in the same act of self-gratification. :t

I find the accused guilty of hypocrisy!

romantic shopping is a complete waste of time money and energy imho, what ever you do or go too, you wont find anything "the little woman" will want or appreciate, :bang:
Me,!! I ask her what she wants,!! the answer "I don't know" surprise me!!! :bang: so when on christmas day she opens her present and a "double cylinder foot-pump" gets unwrapped (note, a "Double", not just a single cylinder), is she grateful??? nope not her!!!
so what can we do???? ask the buggers and they "don't know", try and guess and STILL they ain't happy, we just cant win!!!
so for me its "ask" and if you don't tell me EXACTLY what you want, don't start getting pissed at me for not being a mind reader,!! :dunno:
its either that or nowt!! :}

I physically removed a womens shopping from the supermarket till desk today.. She was in the ten items or less queue with about 15 items..
She went mad.. Called the manager and insisted I was removed from the shop.
Manager took her to one side.. said something out of ear shot.. she REALLY lost it and stormed out !

YES !!!!

RESULT !!!

Now, all we need to do is get that 10 items or ;ess changed to 10 items or less, cash only, no fookin stupid cards that do not work and no cheques unless pre written ( in english )

People that walk 4 -5 abreast, fair enough.

As for the pram, go fuck yerself Mr Brooke. What would you suggest I do with my 19 month old daughter? Tie her up in the garden while I go shopping? What about single parents? Want them to stay at home?

Wanna know what really pisses me off? Alleged intelligent people making really fuckin stupid comments like that! Go away Mr Brooke and dont come out again till after Christmas!

Mmmmmmm... have to agree with SB here. Am I unintelligent too perhaps??Prams and pushchairs ARE a fecking menace in crowded shops WHEN inconsiderate parents bash them into peoples legs and ankles.... and then glare at THAT PERSON as if they were responsible for being in the way. WTF??? Bubba... some people with prams do have a bad-ass attitude - unfortunate fact.

Pram pushers - ok, you have the right to be there like anybody else but be aware you are not the ONLY ones in there... have some feckin respect for those around you that are not filling the place up with prams and double berth pushchairs

Shopping

Im definitely with Jaws on this one. Maybe its coz there are many more people who cant count to 10 that they get in the wrong queue?? And then they wait until the assistant tells them how much before they get out their wad, making it even slower. Solution, buy online or spend xmas in singapore where the place is clean and cheap as chips for the same high quality stuff - and and 5ft 9 you are bigger than the majority of the rest of them!!! And Tescos, whose idea was it to design trolleys that have a truck sized rugrat carrier on the front end - most women cant drive the normal trolleys, let alone these things! Rant over, have a good xmas one and all!

My kids were walking at nine months

with the design of most shops nowadays there is barely room for two people to pass in the aisles, so for someone to think they can force their way through with a pram is just ludicrous,

Steve, However did we manage when our children were growing up

if you want an example of fuck the customer with kids or a push chair,"at ANY time" not "just" the christmas run up, try the "donnay" shop at freeport at Castleford,
and while I'm on the subject, why build a "shopping" mall, without a roof,!! and fill the place with "designer" shops that most, if not all shopping precinct's already have, at the same or near same prices as this "supposed" cheap outlet facility,!!! :dunno:
this is what its all about,!!
