I am in the process of drawing up plans for the 2005 Catalunya Moto GP.
There has been a bit of interest from people on here wanting to attend so here's a few ideas i have lined up so far, i would be interested to hear from anyone wanting to go or anyone who has done it via France.
1) Ferry from Plymouth-- Santander on 29/5/05 Sunday of the BASH which will arrive 11am 30/5/05 then a ride down through Spain via Burgos--Soria--Zaragoza--Lleida where i will be staying until the morning of 09/06/05.
The downside to this route is the cost (?414 for 2 on a bike return inc 2 berth cabin) but the upside is more time to play in the Pyrenese, Spanish mountains etc..
2) Tunnel from Folkestone into Calais, once in Calais its on the road and see how far we get into the journey. Accomodation is not going to be posh, i am thinking about the Formula 1 type travel inns which are abundant in Fance.
The route i'm considering is Calais--Rouen--Chartres--Orleans--Vierzon--Limoges--Toulouse--Andorra--Lleida...
Any constructive comments about the trip, route etc will be gladly received and duly noted. I'm looking at 10-12 days away taking in some of the twistiest roads, quickest roads and stunning scenery as well as tax free Andorra and of course Sunday 5th June the MOTO GP where Rossssssi will again kick SETE's ass..
