I had an injection for a month whilst mine was in for repair, never noticed any difference at the pump, just a big difference in the throttle.

As for carbs, I regularly balance with vacuum guages, but that's just me; a colleague thinks I'm a bit wierd as I use a torque wrench - do I care!

i do 40 miles a day on my 2000 injected bike. it's not jerky at all, maybe i'm just a naturally gifted rider..bl4hbl4h:-0) mpg is ok, the faster you ride it, the more fuel it uses, mine has the 'proper' clocks. i'd say go for either, there's 7/8s of sod all of a difference.
same i do 88 miles aday and have no probs and aint had no other bird take me yet knock knock wood i go from essex to preston with no probs tooman8um

i do, 5-7mpg more is more like it, sometimes more, yes you can get sent down for 140 errrr last couple of tests i read on a bird quoted the top speed for an inj at 165mph, the 180mph + ones were the carbs and the bird got slower and slower as the years went on.
not true ive had 183 on the tole m6 and still felt could still do more

I got 'clocked' at 163 on mine not long after I had it ( 97 carb, then in fast Black). Don't think it was flat out.

I wasn't looking at the flamin clocks, I was looking at the blurred world shooting towards me!!

Murt.
