Can anyone recommend an insurance company for my lad who is looking around for his first policy, so far his quotes have been between ?2700 and ?3700 !!

got a good deal with express insurance,they even gave him 2 years ncb at renewal,he did do pass plus and if he hasnt done it get him to do it,gives more discount of the policy

Pass Plus

Only any good in first year of insurance. If you have already got him a car as a learner and insured him then from an insurance point of view Pass Plus is a waste of time and money!

my nephew was on my sisters policy before and after he passed his test and he still got discount,pass plus works on your first own insurance policy

How things have changed!! When I was 20 I had a 3Ltr Capri and a kawi Z900 and could afford to insure them both without a problem.

I wonder how much is would cost a 20 year old now to insure the equivalent ???

Yes he was on your SISTER'S policy. NOT his own. If a lad has his OWN policy before passing his test then Pass P{lus makes NO difference......sorry just taking out my frustration after a morning of listening to music on't telephone whilst trying to get client valuations. :bang: :bang: :bang:
