Some very inappropriate knighthoods have been handed out over the years. It seemed to get out of hand when Tony B.Liar came to power in the UKaaay. The inappropriate distribution of them devalues the honour; I'm not just talking about footballers and pop starts either; what the eff do career civil servants do to deserve a knighthood?I would agree with you ...AND cougar
Look at the ones have been knighted already....
Jimmy Saville, Cyril Smith, even Mussolini and Ceaucescu (although they were stripped of it in 1940 and 1989 respectively)
I know I wouldn’t want to be in the same category as the aforementioned ......
But he has done a fantastic job at raising money for the NHS in this time of need
